According to data from the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ACEA), sales of diesel vehicles in Romania have been on the rise, while in Europe have declined to a historically lowest level. Statistics show that the share of diesel vehicles in the total automobile market in Europe has fallen to 34.7%. Last year this ratio was 43.1%. On the other hand, the market share of gasoline-powered vehicles increased by 15.2% and became 57.6%.
Despite the recent decline in the share of diesel vehicles observed in Europe, Romania’s diesel car market continued to grow. On the other hand, the rate of increase in gasoline-powered vehicles in Romania is higher than that of gasoline-powered vehicles annually.
